Color coded dashboard calendar
http://help.memberhub.com/discussions/suggestions/38-calendar-event...
I have to agree with Glen. We are running into the same issue. We would prefer the hubs use their own calendar so their items show up on the dashboard calendar color coded, but we need members that are not necessarily in that hub to be able to see when the rooms are booked so they don't over book their own schedule.
Right now we have to put everything on the dash board calendar so we make sure all members can see when something is happening, even if its not something they are interested in.
Any hopes of this being an option?

Hi Kelly,
So are you guys using the Main Calendar to add organization-wide events? Events on the Main Calendar are viweable to everyone in the organization on every hub. Does that work?
Thanks,

Right now we are putting all events on the main calendar and not using hub calendars at all so everyone can see what everyone else is up to. This is NOT our preference.
We would prefer each hub use their own calendar to post their own events but if they did this we wouldn't have a clue if someone reserved a particular part of the club for an activity.
We would prefer that the dashboard calendar showed a consolidation of all the hub calendars even if some members were not part of every hub. This would show us if the club was already being used before someone adds another event to the calendar.

I see Kelly, thank you for the explanation. That makes sense, what you're trying to accomplish. It sounds like what you guys could use would be what we would call a "Resource Management" component to your calendars in Memberhub.
We've actually discussed this type of Resource Management before. In your case however, I wonder if a very simple implementation would allow you to accomplish your goal.
If you had a checkbox on your calendar events that allow the creator to "Publish this event to the entire organization" would that work? If it was checked the event would still belong to the hub, but it would show up everywhere.
I'm not saying that this would be the solution we would go with only trying to understand your needs better.
Thanks Kelly!

Matt,
That would be a big improvement. Any plans for the near future or today :)

Unfortunately we cannot make this request a priority at this time but I'm adding it to the list for possible future enhancement Kelly.
