Prepare Members for MemberHub

There are two keys to maximizing the potential that your members will embrace MemberHub:

  1. Communicate to your members about MemberHub prior to actually inviting them.
  2. Use MemberHub for as much as possible for all communications and logistics within your organization.

It's important that the first time your members hear about MemberHub isn't an email invitation in their inbox to join a hub. Take as many opportunities as possible to tell your members about MemberHub, how the organization is going to use it and how it will benefit you and them. If it's possible, hold an information session for members to ask questions about MemberHub if at all possible show them around the application and exactly how you're planning on using it.

Visit the Sample Documents section and find template emails and documents that make it easy for you to figure out what to tell your members.

Keep in mind that your organization will have members that will easily adopt and make great use out of MemberHub. These folks will help save your staff time and money, because you'll be empowering them to help you with the organization's mission. Let them be MemberHub champions and ask them to help others with MemberHub.

You may also have members that signup, update their profile and possibly not login for long period of time. Don't worry about this. Keep in mind that these people can still participate in hub discussions through their email and they will still receive announcements and event reminders via email and text messaging.
