Adding a Video

There are two main options for you to add videos to your MemberHub portal. If you have the video file you can upload it to the Files section of your hub. Alternatively you can embed a video from popular video hosting websites like YouTube.

Uploading a Video File

If you have a raw video file, such as .mp4, .mov, or .mpg you can upload it into the Files section of your hub. Depending on the file type and the browser that a visitor is using, clicking on an uploaded video file in MemberHub will either download the file to the user's computer or simply start playing the video right in the browser. The maximum file size that you can upload is 100MB. Read more about uploading files.

Embedding a Video

Most popular video hosting websites will give you the ability to embed a video. These instructions are for embedding YouTube videos but the general process is the same for other video hosting services.

You can embed a video into a Whiteboard, a new Discussion or a hub Home Page. On each one of these features you'll find and HTML button on the format bar. Click this button and past the embed code that you get from YouTube. Then click the Update button on the pop up window.

To get the code from YouTube you need to find and click the Share button then click the Embed button.

IMPORTANT: Make sure you check the box Use old embed code. MemberHub does not currently support iframe tags.
