Setting up Your Family

The easiest way for someone in MemberHub to edit their family is by going to their profile. Click on the Your Profile link at the top.

Family members will be listed in the sidebar on the right and if your organization allows everyone to edit their family than you'll see the Edit Family link. Clicking that takes you to a Family Members view.

When you click the Add Family Member button you can type in a first name, last name and email address. Using the email address, MemberHub will attempt to find an existing person in the organization with that email address. If your spouse, for example, is already in the system, it will add them to your family and shoot them an email.

If you don't provide an email address the system allows you to add a completely new person to your family and by association into the organization. The address fields on the Add Person form will default to your address.

At any time, anyone in your family can edit all family members. As long as they have an account with their own login, they can add, edit and remove family members as well as adjusting their Relationship in Family.

As an added convenience, we've given you the ability to get to the edit family screen through the Directory feature. Let's say for example that you're browsing the member directory and notice that something is wrong with your family information. The system will realize that you're looking at your own family and provide a button to edit the family and each family member profile.

Keep in mind that if you build your family in MemberHub then it will be listed this way by default in the Directory. So it's really helpful if you can upload a picture of the entire family at that point.
